Mobile Solis Lite Hotspot & Power Bank with Lifetime Data

Apparently my multi-WAN router thinks it’s still online when the 1Gb limit is reached. So its pings go through but not real data. So the router can’t switch to another Internet source. Annoying.

My husband purchased the Solis and was pleasantly surprised because we live in an area where it is hard to get reception.And yet at times we could not get reception at home.We could get with the Solis.
We purchased one for me because we are not always together.
Most of the time
mine will work well.
And yet at times it will not connect when his is, Yet we don't understand why.
This week we were camping in an area that does not usually get good service. His Solis would work Most of the time we were out there. Mine was hit and miss.

I specifically bought this because I knew I would be going on a cruise that would probably have internet problems, even though they did have it onboard. Solis was especially helpful in Shanghai China which doesn't allow certain websites, so while we were docked I used Solis to watch Netflix, connecting to the U.S. where I have my account. Easy set-up at home (US) with included lifetime data plan, then easily connected in UK and China with global plan (I recommend the Solis lite with global data package).

Bought this to take to the Philippines and was so incredibly pleased with the ability to have WIFI everywhere I went. This little gadget is one of the smartest purchases I have ever made. Great in the US, can take to work with me, take cross country on my many trips across the desert between Cali and Utah, and then the whole international thing was absolutely fantastic. However, somewhere between the airplane and the airport, it came up missing and there is no way of tracking it or getting it replaced. Simo was great to allow me to transfer any data left on it once I buy new device. Yes, my dilemma, however the device was a blessing in a country with limited access.

5 stars for specs, size and price. I have tested this once and it looks very promising. Looking forward to using this randomly in the US and when I go on vacation in Mexico.

Works well in Nigeria, even when multiple devices are connected. I've used my hot spot/global plan in Morocco and Germany also. I have a hot spot, my husband has one, my dad has one, and my sister has one. We're all pleased!

Started in 2017 with the original Skyroam Hotspot that was purchased as a refurbished unit. That device was 3g only. Around 2021 we purchased the Solis Lite. I have used my Skyroam/Solis in 16 countries over that time and never had an issues. It has seamlessly switched between countries during the same day pass. Since getting my 1st device the app (Android) has been a major upgrade to the experience. The app has gotten better through the years and so has the experience. Customer service has always been top notch and I've called and chatted with someone on multiple occasions throughout the years. We only purchase day passes and for the last several years I buy at least a 1 package of 20 days passes during Black Friday as they are typically around 40% off and makes a global day pass cost around $3. 60 a day. Learned my lesson when I ran out of discounted days in the middle of a 2 week trip in Spain. Whenever we travel we always have at least 2 devices connected and have had as many as 4. For $3. 60 a day it beats having to buy 2 or more SIM cards (even virtual sims). We typically travel international for 2-4 weeks a year and I highly recommend for anyone that travels internationally regularly.

We used the SOLIS Lite hotspots at a recent event. For the most part they were excellent and easy to use. Getting them set up was a bit of a hassle as the free usage allotment was not set up automatically and I had to call to get it activated. Thankfully we realized it during working hours and were able to quickly get it running.

It would also be great if the id numbers on the devices were larger so they could be more easily identified. I ended up having to take a photo of mine and enlarging it just so I could read it (and my vision isn't that bad. ).

The first day of our event we used the lower speed and had several connection issues throughout the night. The next day we fixed the settings to use the higher quality signal and didn't have any issues.

Overall we were pleased. It was just a learning curve getting it up and running.

Extremely useful device with nice design. Coverage is also good.

I use it when I'm in a place with little cell coverage but enough to give my phone a boost that I am able to work, read and send email, and call who I need.

Works great, hasn't let me down yet, my only complaint is the cost.

I’m using this for work because I go between two living spaces and don’t want to have WiFi at both places. I’m a bit over a month in and it’s working great in the first place I live in. September I will see how it works in the next spot. I’m
Because I do video calls twice a day, I don’t use it for browsing unless I absolutely have to. I can’t chance it running out/slowing down for work.

I’ve had to switch to the other cellular twice and it worked well.

I will do this for the year and see how it goes. I got the device and one year for $500 so it’s about $31/mo which is cheaper than two wifi accounts.

Make sure you have T-mobile and ATT in the area you want to use it or it will not be worth it.

Works far, far better than the hotspot I had through straight talk.
