I've been traveling throughout Brasil for six weeks. I could not be happier. There are four of us connecting our devices, and we are always "on." The only places it did not connect were in the remote roads of the country where there are very few cell towers. Once you hit a town, though, it connects. It's best to turn off the Hotspot and the WiFi so you don't waste the battery. Wake continued to work as long as you do not refresh the page. And to be clear: my phone has been on Airplane mode with WiFi this whole time. I have a Samsung Galaxy S22. Phone calls will come through if you have WiFi Calling enabled.
I’ve been using the global unlimited data packs for travel for years now.
They are absolutely fantastic. The whole family and friends all connected to one Wi-Fi device in my pocket. Even if we’re on hop on hop off buses, sitting on a beach together, or traveling in the car. Everybody’s connected all the time, including laptops. I’ve taken this little device on cruises all over Europe, South America, the Caribbean and Asia. Has saved me a fortune in data roaming fees. Plus a bonus of being able to connect, laptop, laptops, etc. not just cell phones. Can’t recommend this highly enough.
Colombia Works like I'm still in the US. Even in the EE Cafetero ( a remote mountain area were the best coffee in the world is grown.

I have been using the SOLIS 5G device since last year (2024) at Europe and it worked fine. Right now I am using it at China and it AMAZING, I can connect to all web sites and apps without China blocking any of those apps and web sites (believe me, they block them).
The only downside is that the speed is considerable reduced after the 20GB usage and without any warning. I wish they could tell you the usage so you can plan what data to share and how.

I have used this product on several trips to Sicily and traveling across the U.S.. Never had an issue getting secure reception and often times I got connected in areas that other travelers could not obtain with whatever international program they had. I always recommend Solis to those on my travel groups on FB :+1:

Worked well - a little pricey
It was a great experience using Solis on my trip to South Korea. I had no issues with connecting with the global subscription, but once the 20G was done it was virtually useless. The subscription only gives you 20G of fast internet, which is like 3G or 4G access. Once the 20G is done you go on to 2G speed and can't access any modern sites or app use on your phone. Only thing that you can do is receive texts. Sending texts is okay, but not pictures on this 2G connection.
Battery was awesome though. Lasted all day and had no issues with battery at all. Overall experience was great, but I think Solis uses up the data too fast. One phone call that is 10min took 1G.

The Solis X wifi solution works great for travelers and as an internet backup. The coverage is good and if the speed is slow, you always have the option to search for faster networks. Global Unlimited works well while traveling.

A great means to connect to the internet. I purchased the Global unlimited subscription for our Asian Tour (Turkey, Taiwan, Philippines, Singapore) and back to Germany.
It went well but the speed depends on the country's network services. In Singapore, was amazingly fast but in Taiwan and Philippines is a little laggy and disconnects very often. It works to navigate basic GPS and email sending. We didn't used it for strong usage like streaming or video conferencing. But it works well for general usage.
The only thing better would be more than 30gb before being slowed down. And if it worked in Belize!!
The cost was a great offer for the Global unlimited.
We used Solis in Mexico during December holidays in 2022-3.
Was very effective, in some areas reception was not great but otherwise it worked really well.

Good connection but 20 GB run out unusually fast
I live in Europe, and I have found the Solis lite hardware and the Global Unlimited subscription to be my very best tool. I use the Wifi to stay connected to the Internet for navigation; to reach my translation apps, because I am constantly speaking with non-English speaking people. In addition, because the Solis lite has a network in over 130 countries, I don't have to worry about buying different sim cards for every country, or having to rent or buy different Wifi devices for the different countries around the world that I travel to. It is a must for people on the go and who need to stay connected.
