The device is so useful. It’s now permanently in my sling bag now for everyday carry. I brought it with me for my trip in Cambodia and our car broke down in the mountains area. The device managed to find service out there! Which surprised me and my cousin was able to call for help. Even now back in the states I still can use it for dead zones or if Verizon just sucks in the area. I got the edge because of the smaller form factor. Battery life is solid and will last u for your everyday needs. Fits in a sling very easily. The 1gb a month is incredible! That alone puts this company leagues above the rest in my opinion. 1gb can get u out of a pinch. I bought more data of course because I love this device.
Bought to use in our new Motorhome. We spend a lot of time dry camping but we love streaming our favorite shows while we are camping. Very useful as a wifi hotspot using a local 5G LTE sim card in the Philippines for teleconsult as a mental health worker. In this country, having 2 or 3 options for getting online is a must.
Also use it for streaming videos when workday is over.

I used my Solis Simo on my 3 week trip across australia and it was the solution i needed for international travel. i was able to use it and stay connected with my phone and ipad mini and several different rental cars - From Sydney to Perth to Adalaide to Tasmania / Hobart and back to Sydney and the Blue Mountains!! I've set up my Edge but don't travel for weeks — can I keep the data inactive until my trip?
Yes. Your bundled data (and any plan you buy) starts when you redeem its code, not when you set up the device. So don't redeem the code until your trip. If your data already shows as active, contact Support before you travel and they can help.
I bought a data plan for my Edge but it only shows the 1GB Lifetime plan — where's my purchased data?
Purchased data — for example the 10GB Global plan — arrives as a redemption code and only appears once you redeem it in the SIMO app or website. If you've redeemed it and it still isn't showing, contact Support and they'll apply it.
What's included with the Solis Edge?
The Edge bundle includes Lifetime Data (12GB per year) plus a 10GB Global data plan, with Wi-Fi coverage in 140+ countries across 300+ mobile carriers.
I'm giving the Edge to a family member travelling abroad — will it work there, and whose account is it under?
The Edge works in 140+ countries, so it will connect at most destinations — check the coverage list for the specific country. If it was first set up under your email and you're gifting it, register or transfer it to the traveller's account so they can manage the data.
Day passes on the Edge seem more expensive than on my older device — what are my options?
Day-pass pricing on the newer 5G devices differs from the older Solis models. If a day pass isn't the best fit, you can also use pay-as-you-go (pay-per-GB) data or a monthly/annual subscription on the same device.
